To start, I can’t stress enough how nice and peaceful it was here. Little chipmunks and bunnies playing in the big field and a nice large porch overlooking the river and listening to the water crash over the rocks in the river. It was so nice and relaxing. We felt very renewed after having spent 4 nights here.

We had a great time in the “River’s Edge” cabin.
It was very cozy and had a great porch overlooking the Linville River. There were several access points to be able to get into the water if you chose to. The water was very cool but the bigger rocks were slick so watch out for those!

There was a very sweet welcome basket with a few snacks and coffee in our cabin that was much appreciated. Plenty of cabinetry and storage room and plenty of cooking and grilling utensils.

There was limited cell phone service while we were there, but we were still able to make phone calls, just no data. There is satellite wi-fi available for a few hours a day (we were completely fine with this and knew it ahead of time).

There is a plethora of outdoor activities to do in this area so you will never get bored (my favorite was Grandfather mountain, only about 20 minutes away)!

For those who wonder about the TV, there was satellite TV and we had so many channels! We didn’t watch it much except for a little news in the morning and maybe a movie before bed, but there was so much to choose from!

The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft!

We will definitely be back!
