We had our second stay at the cabins here and it was just as nice and relaxing as it was last year. Hopefully we’ll be back next year!
Awesome cabin. Would definitely go back. My family and I had a great time.
Great place to stay! Friendly staff will be going back again.
We stayed in the Mountain River cabin last weekend for my birthday trip and we absolutely loved it! The cabin was clean, stocked with all the towels and dishes we could have possibly needed and to top it all off, it was just downright cute! We were originally supposed to stay in a different cabin, but when the hot tub had an issue, Shane was very upfront about it and moved us to this cabin at no extra charge. He was super friendly and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed.
The porch on this cabin is gorgeous! I’d love to come back during non-covid times and invite a bunch of friends over to hang out on the huge deck and have a cookout. The hot tub was perfect and it was overlooking the river and that was a nice plus. It was great for coming back after a long hike or horseback ride and soaking sore muscles.
The gas fire place in the cabin was such a nice, homey touch; it came in handy for a chilly weekend in May. It was such a wonderful place to get away from the “big” city and just relax in nature without worrying about being in contact with anyone.
Only complaint was the pillows were a bit hard, but other than that, no complaints from us! We hope to stay again in the future.
Even with hail storm it was Great….Can’t wait to go back!!!
This is are first time in the snow and we choose the perfect place to visit, the cabin are very close to everything and the attention provided by the owner it’s amazing, there’s a river 10 feet from the cabin were you can fish and lots of extras, definitely coming back!!!
Beautiful place to stay, super cozy! We highly recommend.
Wonderful! Nice and quiet Christmas getaway. We stayed at the Let it Snow cabin and even though the cabins are very close together, it was very quiet and until you were back outside and saw the other cabins you forgot that you were so close to others. If we had to say one negative, it would be the mattress, it would suck you to the middle, maybe flipping it would help for awhile. Otherwise, Shane was extremely friendly, the cabin was spotless, it had everything we needed! We had a snowstorm come through Christmas Eve and we couldn’t have wished for a better place to be snowed in on Christmas day! There was a wind-chill of below zero but we stayed toasty warm. We can’t wait to go back when the weather is warm to go fishing!
Great place to unplug and enjoy the mountains!
A very peaceful place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Such a beautiful property. My husband and I took a much needed weekend for ourselves to just relax and not worry about anything for a few days. We stayed in the mountain summer cabin. It was very clean and just the perfect size for us. We loved listening to the river roll by. My husband enjoyed fishing in the river and watching little otters play. I absolutely loved seeing the church through the trees. Just beautiful! Shane the owner was very attentive and quick to answer our questions and make sure everything was going ok. We cannot wait to return for another stay!!!
Amazing place!! The drive here was equally amazing. From the moment we arrived on property you could feel the warmth and beauty of this place. The owner Shane greeted us on arrival at our cabin and made sure we got settled in without any hiccups. Any question I had was quickly met with a warm response. I would highly suggest this for any occasion but this particular one was a romantic get away for my wife and I and this place more than delivered. I suggest you experience it yourself. Jerad & Thais Glysson
We stayed here at the Let it snow cabin a couple weeks ago, and it was just amazing!!! The inside was just beautiful, and very clean. And the view the morning we got up was breath taking.. we were right on the river. The hot tub on the porch was very nice and very private! Hopefully we can book again with them soon…
Gorgeous setting. Quiet & peaceful. Cabin was clean & had everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
The wife and I stayed here for 9 nights she wanted to go some place quiet and relaxing. We found it,the cabin we stayed in was perfect for the 2 of us plus are dog,we were disappointed in the fishing but just because we don’t fly fish and don’t care to much for trout they are in the river though.Shane was great quick to respond when we had a problem very knowledgeable of his surroundings and attractions,we would definitely come back Thank you Shane.
Such a delightful place with an attentive property owner. I highly recommend this property and will return in the future.
The setting was perfect: river just feet from the cabin, great hot tub viewing river, there were even lightening bugs! The host was beyond helpful, always responding quickly to everything! There were 3 of us and we a enjoyed it so much that we will likely plan to return! Wonderful adventure!
Beautiful and relaxing place to stay. My husband, myself and our 2 boys thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I would recommend for any family looking to get away and spend quality time together making memories!
Perfect get-a-way. People are super and cabin is amazing!
What a great place to visit! Very nice and peaceful!! Will definitely be going back!!
Beautiful private nice friendly people we stayed twice and loved it the river is your back yard tubing hot tub clean and near by stores and fishing.
So peaceful and relaxing. I will be recommending this place to all my family and friends.
Cabin had everything we needed and was situated in a perfect location overlooking the river and beautiful grounds. Shane and Becerly were very accommodating! We will definitely be back!
Wow…exceeded my expectations! In love with the place!
Great place to come stay for a vacation. Very quiet and peaceful. The river next to the cabin was really nice to sit and listen to. The cabins were very clean and up to date.would definitely come back.
Had a great time and loved our cabin! We will return! Five star place! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great weekend!!! Our cabin Let It Snow was beautiful, clean and just cozy!! The sounds of the river in the evening was absolutely relaxing while enjoying the hot tub. Close to the hiking trails and wineries!! We will definitely be returning!!! Five star place!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟
We stayed in Let It Snow for the past weekend! It was a great place to stay! Very clean, well stocked, comfy bed and good pillows! Everything we expected and more! We will come back again and stay longer! Phi and Lori
To start, I can’t stress enough how nice and peaceful it was here. Little chipmunks and bunnies playing in the big field and a nice large porch overlooking the river and listening to the water crash over the rocks in the river. It was so nice and relaxing. We felt very renewed after having spent 4 nights here.
We had a great time in the “River’s Edge” cabin.
It was very cozy and had a great porch overlooking the Linville River. There were several access points to be able to get into the water if you chose to. The water was very cool but the bigger rocks were slick so watch out for those!
There was a very sweet welcome basket with a few snacks and coffee in our cabin that was much appreciated. Plenty of cabinetry and storage room and plenty of cooking and grilling utensils.
There was limited cell phone service while we were there, but we were still able to make phone calls, just no data. There is satellite wi-fi available for a few hours a day (we were completely fine with this and knew it ahead of time).
There is a plethora of outdoor activities to do in this area so you will never get bored (my favorite was Grandfather mountain, only about 20 minutes away)!
For those who wonder about the TV, there was satellite TV and we had so many channels! We didn’t watch it much except for a little news in the morning and maybe a movie before bed, but there was so much to choose from!
The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were so soft!
We will definitely be back!
Beautiful place to stay
If you want beautiful scenery, a perfectly put together cabin, and a hot tub, you have found your next vacation destination. Inn keeper is always available and very helpful. Very secluded and relaxing. What are you waiting for??
Such a beautiful place on the river! The scenery was beautiful, just a few steps out the back to the river. We spent the weekend with our two boys and enjoyed the hot tub and some sight seeing. The little touches like board games and popcorn were a treat. It was a great place to stay and the owners were so helpful. You can tell they take pride in their cabins with the cleanliness of the entire property. We will definitely be back!
This cabin was nice and cozy. Had an awesome weekend going to the falls and the blowing rock (the local town) The owner of the cabin was very nice and helpful. My only complaint was that the shower head was kinda gross could use a good cleaning and the toilet paper was 1 ply at best!! Other than that it was a wonderful stay.
Absolutely love, love, love, this place! Beautiful location where every cabin sits right on the river to give you that escape from all the hustle and bustle of the city.
So if your looking for a place to disconnect from the city life…then look no further! and keep in mind, your cell phone will “NOT WORK” up in the mountains! so make all arrangements a good half hour out! prior to visiting! Learned that the hard way from our first time of visiting!
Also get all provisions as needed for the duration of your stay BEFORE arriving! because the closest supermarket is about 45 minutes away! And if you want to drink a beer on a lounge chair watching the beautiful river like I enjoy doing…I would definitely suggest purchasing that before you arrive because it is a dry county and they DO NOT have any alcohol in any of the local gas stations.
A very peaceful place. Very friendly and helpful staff. We loved them! Close to Blowing Rock and Boone where there are many activities such as zip lining, white water rafting, and horseback riding.
We enjoyed our visits to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Caverns.
If you are a beginner or an experienced skier you will love the slopes that are close to these cabins! And you can relax in your hot tub when you get back!
There are wonderful restaurants in the area. We had everything from hamburgers and pizza to prime rib, trout, and grilled salmon. There is a place in Blowing Rock that serves wild game prepared many different ways!
We cannot wait to come back. We are already planning our next trip!
This is our second time here. Very cozy and private. Love the hot tub and location on the river! This has turned out to be our annual anniversary spot!
We stayed here back in 2009 and then returned this year just two weeks ago . We loved it just as much if not more than the first time . Love how close the river we were and the quiet . We had such a wonderful time , it was beautiful and cozy without the outrageous cost . We will definitely be back again !
Nice place. Worth the price. Beautiful and romantic.
Shane is great! Beautiful location, views, and cabins. Great fishing in the Linville River. Lots to do.
We love it,, it’s a nice get away.. the owner is a great guy too.. this is our 3rd time going since March and we’re thinking of buying a cabin 😊 the only downfall is no service and we seem to always have an issue with the WiFi on our phones..
This place is fabulous!! It was so relaxing and absolutely beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and I enjoyed my stay. I will definitely be back!
It’s a beautiful place to relax nice and quiet very friendly people my husband and I loved it can’t wait to go back
My husband and I have stayed at these cabins twice and will definitely go back. The cabins are so clean and the grounds are very well maintained. It’s so relaxing having a campfire next to the river at the end of the day.
Excellent …. Total Peace… Best price for your money…
Cute and cozy cabins on the Linville River!!! Nice for couples!!! Not far from local towns and sites to see. You can fish in the river right outside your cabin. If you’re looking for something a little more private than a hotel this is the place to be.
Really cool cabins! Better than I expected! Great for a quiet get away. Right on a little river. Not as secluded as some of the pictures make it seem but still really nice. NO cell service for some carriers but they do have WiFI 🙂 Verizon network is what everyone has around there.
Very nice and very relaxing…… We are definitely coming back……
The owner was so nice and helpful the few times I called. We loved the cabin and found this vacation to be very relaxing and peaceful!
The cabin was very clean and the sound of the Linville river outside our window was refreshing and peaceful. The next trip we make there we would rent again.
We found this rental situated right on a little river to be very enjoyable. It was quiet, private and very relaxing. Our kids (13, 10 & 5 years old) were able to play in the river the whole time. We bought tubes from the local drug store and had a blast.
We stayed in rivers edge it slept 6. It was a little small, but turned out to be perfect for our family of 5. Will defiantly go back very soon.
We stayed at The Linville River Log Cabins last year and loved every second of our visit. We even stayed an extra night though it meant leaving at 4:30AM to get to work on time. This is one of the most relaxing places I have been. The owners were great and we ruly hated to leave!
We are going back again next week and cannot wait to return. I would absolutely recommend the Linville River Log Cabins to anyone looking to relax and unwind. It is a great experience!
Karin – Clemson, SC (the first visit) – Gastonia, NC (the 2nd visit) 🙂
Linville River Log Cabin rentals are in the heart of Averty County, conveniently located near Granddfather Mountain, Linville Caverns, Blowing Rock and less than 20 minutes south of Boone.
The cabins are nestled along the Linville River, just off the highway. Although you won’t get the spectacular views as some of the other rental properties, the scenery is delighful. Firepits are located right along the water, so bring folding camp chairs. Also bring water shoes because this part of the river is shallow and you can wade right in!
Cabins themselves are spotless, nicely decorated and well-stocked. They are close together but surprisingly private. The owners are really nice and obviously hardworking; we were greeted by Shane who showed us around and gave us maps and sightseeing suggestions.
All cabins have hottubs, fishing pole rentals, cheap firewood bundles ($4 compared to $5 at local stores) delivered right to your firepit, and grills (bring charcoal.) Our cabin was Mountain Haven and we had directTV with premium movie channels and a DVD player. (Shane might be getting wireless back next year.)
This is the third year of operation and even though they claim to still be learning about the business, everything was smooth as silk for us. We loved every minute of our stay and highly recommend them!
