Pisgah National Forest Majestic Mountain and Cascading WaterfallsOur Linville River rental log cabins are located in the heart of the Pisgah National Forest. The Pisgah National Forest is over 500,000 acres of mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, and hardwood forest.

There are many diverse recreational opportunities with whitewater rivers, waterfalls and hundreds of miles of hiking trails. The Pisgah National Forest was first tract of land purchased from the Weeks Act of 1911 to establish national forests in the eastern United States. The forest is also home of the first school of forestry in the United.

The Pisgah, Grandfather and Appalachian Ranger Districts are scattered along the eastern edge of the mountains of western North Carolina and offer visitors a variety of outdoor recreational opportunities while enjoying the natural beauty of the North Carolina mountains.
